About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at AC Hotels by Marriott Inverness. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our dishes are prepared and cooked to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Train and develop the kitchen team, focusing on standards, hygiene, and quality.
  • Review and manage ingredients and deliveries, minimizing waste and optimizing portion control.
  • Monitor food costs and ensure alignment with budgetary requirements.
  • Invent and create new dishes and menus, including costings and nutritional information.
Requirements
  • Fluent in English, with any additional language skills an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
  • Highly flexible and able to respond creatively to any situation.
  • Well-organized, clean, and resistant to stress.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ordering platforms.
