Job Overview

Glasgow City Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Health Projects Officer. This position is a key part of the Chief Executive's Department and will report directly to the Council lead for the NIHR Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Glasgow.

The successful candidate will be part of a high-profile cross-city partnership, working closely with the Council, NHSGGC, University of Glasgow, HSCP, and GCPH to bring evidence into the heart of decision-making within Glasgow City Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to address the wider determinants of health in Glasgow.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to integrate research and policy, ensuring that evidence-based decision-making is at the forefront of the Council's approach.
  • Support the governance and management of the HDRC Glasgow, ensuring effective collaboration and communication across the partnership.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, and community leaders.

This is a temporary position for up to 24 months, with opportunities for hybrid working. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing their workload and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
