We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Children's Occupational Therapy Technician to join our team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. Main Responsibilities- Assess and implement occupational therapy interventions for children with complex needs, working closely with our Occupational Therapists to ensure effective treatment plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice, staying up-to-date with the latest research and clinical guidelines.
- Support the supervision of trainees and students, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their success.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote high-quality care.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for individuals with a strong background in occupational therapy, preferably with experience working with children with complex needs. A training to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, and additional CPD courses relevant to the role, are essential. Functional Skills at Level 2 in Literacy and numeracy, and GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths, are also required.
