Job Description

Job Title: Claims Team Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Claims Team Manager to lead our Group Protection department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Claims Specialists, ensuring the team's objectives and efforts are aligned with overall departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and develop employees at all levels to maximize team performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Ensure the team's objectives and efforts are aligned with overall departmental goals, service level agreements, and targets.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Understand drivers of customer satisfaction and implement action plans to ensure consistency of service, resource, and quality across the team.
  • Issue Resolution: Evaluate, review, and resolve issues at team level to ensure consistency of service, resource, and quality across the team.
  • Recruitment: Be responsible for the recruitment of staff within the Claims Team, ensuring the correct level of resource and quality of staff is maintained.
  • Coaching and Development: Hold regular 1:1's with team members, coaching and supporting when needed.
Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
  • Creativity: Ability to be creative in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • People Management Experience: Proven experience in people management, with a focus on leadership and development.
  • Claims Team Experience: Experience of managing a Claims team is desirable.
