Job Title: Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at The Calico Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders, ensuring the smooth operation of our charities arm, Syncora.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain effective financial systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage the production of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reviews, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to develop financial information and support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adequate financial controls are in place to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
  • Support the delivery of annual statutory accounts and ensure a Value for Money (VFM) culture is embedded.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant with experience in the charity and not-for-profit sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing small groups of companies or SMEs, with experience in budget setting and financial forecasting.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in team management and motivation, with a focus on delivering high levels of staff engagement.
