Overview:
Milestone Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Delivery Manager to oversee our Central Bedfordshire contract. This role is integral to our Design and Construction team, focusing on the execution of capital projects outlined in the Annual Plan.
With a recently secured 7-year contract to deliver a comprehensive range of highway services for Central Bedfordshire Council, this position is pivotal in managing the refurbishment programs for roadways and footpaths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the allocation of resources to ensure the successful execution of highway and street lighting projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards in line with company policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Programme Manager and Client to establish the Annual Plan and Contractor's Plan for the project portfolio.
- Manage the implementation phase of the project schedule, optimizing resource allocation for efficiency and consistency.
- Conduct design surveys and early contractor involvement meetings to establish work values for commercial target costs.
- Review all delivery costs and approve payment applications in accordance with financial targets.
- Utilize project management tools effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Champion environmental initiatives and drive continuous business improvements.
- Support the development of team members, ensuring performance aligns with required standards.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven experience in managing operational resources for construction projects.
- Experience in overseeing structural maintenance projects, including carriageway and footway resurfacing.
- Certification as a New Roads and Streetworks Supervisor.
- SMSTS qualification.
- Relevant academic qualifications in construction or project management.
- Familiarity with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, Asta, and Confirm software.
- Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills.
