About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coding Data Quality Manager to join our team at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT. As a key member of our Clinical Coding Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our clinically coded data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement best practice systems and processes to ensure timely and high-quality coded data across the Trust.
  • Plan and undertake audits, develop action plans, and implement monitoring against targets for improving the depth and quality of clinically coded data.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical coding standards, rules, and conventions to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Work closely with colleagues and senior clinicians to improve clinical documentation and implement an electronic patient record.
  • Extract, analyze, and model data from Trust systems and nationally available benchmarking data to present in a clear and meaningful format using Microsoft products.
Requirements
  • Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subjects or equivalent level of qualification or relevant significant equivalent previous proven experience
  • Attendance at Clinical Coding Refresher course in the last 3 years
  • Proven skills in using window-based packages, Excel, and keyboard skills
  • Approved Clinical Coding Auditor
