Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Performance Planning Specialist to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our project controls team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our clients' projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Project Controls Processes: Develop and implement project controls processes, templates, and tools to ensure accurate cost and schedule management.
  • Lead Project Evaluation: Evaluate project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Remote Team: Work closely with a remote team of cost managers to establish a market-tested cost baseline and ensure clients receive value for money.
  • Guide General Contractors: Influence general contractors to progress in line with the schedule and within agreed cash flow parameters.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for clients, resolving delivery and commercial issues while preparing reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Cost Reporting: Create and/or work within a cost report, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
  • Change Management: Understand change management principles, lead agreed change management processes, and provide a platform for adding, tracking, monitoring, and approving changes.
  • Project Planning: Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile the master project/programme schedule, agreeing baselines and a critical path.
  • Risk Evaluation: Actively participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo to output quantitative impacts on the overall project cost and schedule.
  • Vendor Management: Hold vendors accountable for required schedule updates and reporting to maintain timely and accurate updates of the master schedule.
Requirements
  • Project Controls Experience: Proven experience in project controls coordination in all phases of the project lifecycle, including program, risk, and reporting, with specialist life sciences or data centre sector experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated experience in determining corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures, critically evaluating information and data from various sources.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.
