Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Intervention Specialist to join our team at Sheffield City Council. As a Family Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with families and multi-agency colleagues to deliver targeted interventions and support.
  • Utilize assessment and evaluation tools to develop and inform packages of support for children and families.
  • Work with a range of internal and external partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for children, young people, and families.
  • Have significant experience of working with vulnerable children and their families, around child development, the importance of parental engagement, and working with other agencies or in a relevant setting.
  • Be skilled at understanding information and assessing risk, and have the ability to resolve conflict and work with families to support them with parenting skills.

Requirements:

  • GCSE or O' Level in Maths and English (grade 9-4) or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Social Care, Early Years, Youth work, or other relevant experience.
  • Significant experience of working with vulnerable children and their families.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
