Key Responsibilities- Assist in the maintenance and repair of highways, footpaths, and structures
- Support activities to maintain highways, footpaths, and structures in accordance with statutory requirements
- Develop skills and knowledge in areas such as Quick Response, General Maintenance, Drainage, Road Mending, Gully Emptying, and Camera Van operations
- Attend training sessions and work towards the completion of the nationally recognized NVQ Level 2 qualification in Construction and Civil Engineering
- GCSEs - minimum Grade C in Mathematics and English or equivalent (Key Skills at Level 2)
- Willingness to develop own skills, knowledge, and experience
- Flexible approach to changing work tasks
- Experience of working as part of a team, good numeracy and communication skills, and an understanding of the principles of customer care
- Relevant out-of-school activities or hobbies
- Organized approach to work in relation to working and record-keeping
- Good attendance record and willingness to travel to training facilities or other work-based sites
- Ability to work well with others and follow instructions
