About the Role

CareTech Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Service and Registered Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our independent fostering service, which is part of the CareTech Fostering Division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic vision and development of the Midlands region, driving innovation and excellence in service delivery.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to ensure the highest level of service is provided throughout the registration process.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government agendas and frameworks, and maintain a strong understanding of QA and compliance approaches.
  • Recruit, assess, and support Foster Parents, and oversee the growth and development of foster carer recruitment, assessment work, supervision, training, and supporting carers and their children and young people.
  • Manage resources, meet business plan objectives, marketing plans, set targets, and monitor performance management systems, processes, and contingency planning.
  • Develop and implement business finance plans, including budget management and financial forecasting.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team, utilizing different leadership styles and adapting to manage each team leader.
  • Develop and implement performance management techniques, talent management models, and recruit and develop people.
  • Manage competing expectations of stakeholders while ensuring the child's safety and well-being is at the heart of decision-making.
  • Input into strategic planning and create plans in line with organisational objectives.
  • Communicate organisational vision and goals, and support development through coaching and mentoring.
  • Identify talent and performance, develop, build, and motivate teams, and delegate and enable delivery through others.
  • Build trust and confidence, and use effective negotiation skills to manage conflict.
  • Undertake critical analysis and evaluate to support decision-making, and use effective problem-solving techniques.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and creative leader who can drive excellence in service delivery and lead a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child-related regulatory standards and legislation, and experience in managing resources, meeting business plan objectives, and developing and implementing business finance plans.
