About the Role

Columbia Threadneedle Investments is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join its well-established Real Estate and Infrastructure Operations Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts and management information, as well as financial statements and VAT and Tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly Management Accounts, including analysis and reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement General Ledger items and completion of Net Asset Value computations for communication to investors.
  • Produce monthly Management Information, including Liquidity Forecasts.
  • Coordinate and control quarterly investor / Client communication, ensuring completion within specified timescales.
  • Provide tax information to relevant tax specialists and calculate tax accruals.
  • Complete computation, general ledger reconciliation, and online submission of quarterly VAT Returns and payment of sums payable to HMRC (where applicable).
  • Analyse loan covenant compliance and provide reporting to lenders (where applicable).
  • Aid in the preparation of annual statutory Financial Statements, including supporting documents/workings. Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure audits are planned and executed accordingly and financial statements are distributed to interested parties in accordance with required timescales.
  • Aid in the review and implementation of Real Estate acquisition and disposals pipeline.
  • Ensure continuous implementation and strict application of accounting standards and operational control.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the team.
Requirements
  • Part Qualified Accountant – ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
  • Management Accounting experience.
  • Clear and concise communicator with experience of working with colleagues at all levels.
  • Solid financial accounting skills, including ability to analyse and interpret variances.
  • Self-starter, deadline driven and able to work on own initiative.
  • Client Focus driven with proven experience.
