Job Summary:

The Manchester College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Safeguarding and Support. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our safeguarding and pastoral support efforts, ensuring the well-being and safety of our students.

About the Role:

We are looking for a senior manager with a strong background in safeguarding and pastoral care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective management and leadership of our safeguarding arrangements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff on safeguarding and pastoral matters
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure effective safeguarding and support
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safeguarding and pastoral support services

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in safeguarding and pastoral care
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
