About the Role

We are seeking experienced professionals to lead activities for children and young people in our YMCA building. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, wellbeing, and social activities that cater to the needs of our participants.

Main Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement activity outlines for pilots or funded projects, ensuring a high level of engagement and participation from children and young people.
  • To maintain a safe and supportive environment, addressing any behavioral issues in a psychologically-informed context.
  • To ensure accurate logging and monitoring of activities, including financial and efficiency records.
  • To contribute to the development of new provision, providing data and anecdotal evidence to inform decision-making.
  • To promote YMCA Doncaster's offer to young people and supporters through events and marketing activities.
  • To maintain awareness of the range of provision available from YMCA Doncaster.
  • To manage equipment and resources effectively, ensuring they are available for use by participants.
  • To supervise placements and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • To adhere to YMCA Doncaster's safeguarding procedures and maintain professional boundaries with staff, clients, and others.
  • To undertake additional duties as required, within your capabilities and status, to meet the needs of YMCA Doncaster.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
