About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead one of our divisions as a Commercial and Financial Director. As a leading force in the Divisional Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational performance of the business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the business unit's overall objectives
- Oversee daily operations and ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all business activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Develop and manage the business unit's budget
- Ensure financial targets are met and drive initiatives to improve profitability
- Monitor financial performance and make data-driven decisions
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate operational performance
- Analyse data and metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and provide regular updates on business performance
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally
Requirements:
- Commercial and operational experience gained within a fast-paced, technical manufacturing and service business, such as fuel, energy, EV, or environmental organisation
- Extensive contract management experience delivering for customers under strict SLA regimes
- Extensive commercial experience in a B2B contract-driven environment
- Proven ability to balance commercial opportunity with operational capability while maximising profitability
