About the Role

R53 Suspension, a leading motorsport company, is seeking a talented Project Design Engineer to oversee and manage projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and oversight for project lifecycles, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • End-to-End Project Management: Manage projects from conception to completion, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects to ensure that they are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Client/Supplier Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and suppliers to ensure that project requirements are met and that all stakeholders are satisfied.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
  • Ownership and Responsibility: Take ownership of projects and be accountable for their delivery, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed to the required standard.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering: A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
  • 3D CAD System Experience: Experience with 3D CAD systems such as CREO, Solidworks, or CATIA is essential.
  • Data Analysis: Familiarity with analyzing data using Excel is required.
  • CAD System-Based FEA and Kinematics Tools: Ability to use CAD system-based FEA and kinematics tools is essential.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical engineering principles are required.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven project management skills and experience are essential.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities is required.
  • Ownership and Responsibility: Willingness to take ownership of projects and be accountable for their delivery is essential.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically are required.
  • Fluid Dynamics and Electro-Hydraulic Knowledge: Familiarity with fluid dynamics and electro-hydraulic systems is preferred but not essential.
  • Damper Design Experience: Experience in damper design is preferred but not essential.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately are essential.
