The RoleKey Responsibilities:
- Respond to client inquiries in a clear and thorough manner.
- Maintain accurate records of client communication in Intelliflo (iO).
- Collect, organize, and record client policy information and critical data in accordance with KYC principles.
- Obtain policy information, quotes, illustrations, and product details.
- Assist with new client onboarding from initial contact to investment.
- Process and submit new business to providers, ensuring efficient application completion.
- Place investment trades, fund switches, and conduct peer reviews on fund switches instructed by colleagues.
- Organize financial planning annual reviews with clients on behalf of the Financial Adviser.
- Prepare documentation for initial client meetings and annual financial reviews, including product literature, illustrations, provider forms, and client agreements.
- Ensure secure transmission of critical client data via DocuSign and other electronic methods.
- Create, schedule, and manage follow-up tasks related to client meetings, ad-hoc requests, and new business submissions on iO.
- Comply with internal and FCA compliance policies and procedures, ensuring client data and information remain confidential and compliant (e.g., AML & GDPR).
- Pursue continuous personal development.
Collaborative Environment:
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Administration and Paraplanning team.
- Assist with training and development of junior team members and new administration staff.
- Peer review colleague work, including new applications, written correspondence, and technical fund switches on provider platforms.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the financial services industry.
- Desirable experience with iO, but not essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of investments, pensions, and family wealth planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A high attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Demonstrable experience delivering exceptional client service.
- Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, with intermediate knowledge of Excel.
- Understanding of the needs of Financial Advisers and FCA rules and requirements.
- Industry qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure individually and as part of a busy team, meeting deadlines and urgent client needs.
- Demonstrate motivation and focus in delivering outstanding customer service to clients.

Berkshire IFA is located at Winnersh Triangle, Reading. The role is currently 100% office-based. Our offices are open from 8am to 5:30pm to accommodate flexible working hours. Full-time hours per week or part-time options (20, 25, or 30 hours) are available. Salary range: £30,000 to £35,000 (pro-rata for part-time). Benefits include 25 days per calendar year (plus Bank Holidays), life cover, income protection, health, optical, and dental cover, cash plan, flexible hours, paid sick leave, long service annual leave, and upgrade in maternity/paternity/shared leave.
