The Role: Reach Worker

We are seeking dedicated Reach Workers to join our Kent teams, focusing on providing high-quality services to groups who traditionally find accessing support challenging. You will utilize the Making Every Contact Count (MECC) approach to empower individuals and connect them with treatment options.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver substance misuse outreach services, promoting harm reduction and swift access to treatment for those seeking help.
  • Collaborate closely with Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments and hospital teams to develop discharge pathways and support frequent attenders.
  • Build strong relationships with specialist acute services and provide in-reach support within these settings.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for individuals.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals facing substance misuse challenges.
  • Experience in outreach work or a related field, ideally within the healthcare or social services sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • A commitment to working collaboratively and as part of a team.
