Job Description

**Job Title:** Accountancy - Financial Operations Manager

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at GLW Feeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the credit control, purchase ledger, and financial account teams, providing critical analysis and financial guidance to department heads and the board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Credit Control and Collections:** Ensure timely and accurate processing of credit control and collections activities, including managing the credit control team and implementing effective credit control strategies.
  • **Financial Analysis and Reporting:** Provide regular financial analysis and reporting to department heads and the board, including management accounts, sales analysis reports, and business analysis projects.
  • **Financial Accounts and Month-End Process:** Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial accounts, including statutory filing requirements, bank reconciliations, and asset capitalization.
  • **Payroll and HR:** Manage payroll processing, including daily shifts, shift patterns, new employees, leavers, and amendments to information.
  • **Team Management:** Direct, manage, and develop the credit control team, purchase ledger clerk, financial account, and accounts assistant.
  • **Compliance and Risk Management:** Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, company policies, and procedures, and identify and mitigate financial risks.
Requirements:
  • **Qualifications:** CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified for a minimum of 5 years, with a minimum of 2 years experience managing a team.
  • **Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership skills, and experience with financial software and systems.
