Financial Reporting Accountant - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team at The Access Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in managing and supporting the development of two assistant accountants, while overseeing key month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support two Assistant Accountants, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Oversee key month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate cost recharges between entities, review exceptional costs, and understand the treatment of intangible assets.
  • Partner with the business to provide timely information, support the Senior Financial Accountant, and assist in consolidating group accounts across regions.
  • Collaborate with acquisition teams to ensure accurate accounting for subsidiaries, driving continuous improvement and providing ad-hoc analysis.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA professional with 0-3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and advanced proficiency in MS Office 365 applications.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on building efficiencies and automating processes.
  • Preferable experience in a private equity-backed, highly acquisitive company.
  • Familiarity with Dimensions accounting software is preferred.
