Construction Surveyor

About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to take on diverse and thrilling responsibilities, including Quantity Surveying, Employer's Agent, and Project Management.
As a RICS Chartered Building Surveyor, you'll work on a variety of projects, including office-to-residential conversions, innovative new-build residential developments, and cutting-edge educational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct building surveys, inspections, and condition reports for residential and educational properties
- Undertake Quantity Surveying tasks, such as cost estimating, tender analysis, and cost management
- Act as an Employer's Agent, managing project delivery on behalf of clients
- Project management responsibilities from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards
- Provide expert advice on property matters, including structural defects, repairs, maintenance, and building pathology
- Prepare and manage project specifications, schedules of work, and contracts
- Utilise CAD software to create and amend drawings in support of project development and planning
- Administer construction contracts and provide comprehensive contract management services
- Engage effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes
- RICS Chartered Building Surveyor status (essential)
- Experience in Quantity Surveying, Employer's Agent, and Project Management roles (desirable)
- Proficiency in CAD software, with the ability to create and modify technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts
- Excellent project management and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to sites as required (essential)
- Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (flexibility around starting and finishing times)
