We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Day Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores and collecting containers from port for delivery to distribution centers.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers.
- Collect multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centers.
- Communicate regularly with the transport team to ensure timely updates and manage customer expectations.
- Attend regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience in delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Confident, polite, and a team player with good geographical knowledge.
- Basic salary of £38,287 per annum, based on working 48 hours per week.
- Overtime available.
