Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals working across schools in the Avonmouth area.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an additional member of staff to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those with challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside the class teacher to develop and implement learning plans for individual children
  • Support children in lessons across the curriculum
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children with SEND or SEMH needs
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Passion for working with children with SEND or SEMH needs
  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant transferable skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
