About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Compliance Monitoring Manager to join our team at RD Financial Recruitment. As a Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our client's compliance with regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support Risk and Compliance: Assist the Risk and Compliance department to ensure the business meets its legal and regulatory obligations.
- Thematic Reviews: Conduct thorough thematic reviews from a second-line perspective in key business areas such as complaints, affordability and creditworthiness assessments, vulnerable customers, and user access. Produce comprehensive reports on findings and recommend actionable next steps.
- Risk Management: Share responsibility for risk management activities, assist with risk management across the business, ensure internal systems and assessments are frequently updated, and support the business with risk management queries.
- Horizon Scanning: Identify regulatory announcements and upcoming changes, write briefing notes covering key regulatory updates and announcements for senior management.
- Transactional Monitoring: Conduct monthly transactional monitoring of key operational areas, such as Data Subject Access Requests, breaches, and financial promotions.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Experience: Working in a regulated financial services firm.
- Skills: Ability to understand and interpret legislation and regulation, conducting second-line monitoring, producing management information, highly organized and accurate approach to work, strong analytic and interpretive skills, strong report writing skills, effective communication skills at all levels, effective presentation skills, good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office programs and IT environments.
