Renal Care Nurse - Band 5

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a Band 5 role to contribute to the newly established Croydon Haemodialysis Unit (CHU).

This innovative satellite dialysis facility operates under the management of the Renal Unit at St Helier Hospital in collaboration with Renal Services UK.

With over 50 years of experience, the St Helier Renal Unit serves as a tertiary renal referral center and ranks among the five largest units in England.

The Croydon Haemodialysis Unit is equipped with 28 dialysis stations, initially accommodating up to 130 patients.

We seek a proactive and enthusiastic Renal Nurse with strong dialysis and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Renal Care Nurse - Croydon Satellite Dialysis Unit

The Renal Care Nurse will provide exceptional nursing care to patients as part of a collaborative team. The individual will be accountable for their own practice, operating within defined competencies and the scope of the role.

The successful applicant will ensure a high standard of care for dialysis patients while fostering an excellent learning environment for both patients and staff.

Under the guidance of the Clinical Matron and Lead Clinicians, the nurse will deliver holistic care to renal dialysis patients, adhering to specific infection control and dialysis protocols.

The candidate must possess outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as a clinical expert. Previous renal nursing experience is preferred, or a strong desire to receive training in dialysis care. Self-motivation and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
