Client Progression Specialist


We are seeking a dedicated Client Progression Specialist to join NFP People on behalf of Depaul UK. This role is essential in ensuring that every individual exits our services equipped with the necessary skills and resilience to lead confident and self-sufficient lives.

£12,872.53 Per Annum plus pension and additional benefits; Full-time equivalent: £24,136 P/A

About the Role


As part of a collaborative team, you will deliver assessment, support, and transition services to vulnerable individuals in both supported and community-based settings. Your work will be guided by the Depaul Endeavour model, focusing on assets-based and psychologically informed approaches.


Under the supervision of a manager or senior worker, you will manage a caseload of clients while sharing responsibility for the safety and well-being of all individuals, volunteers, and staff within the service.

In accommodation-based settings, you will ensure proper maintenance of the facilities and assist clients in sustaining their tenancies while facilitating positive transitions.

For clients residing in the community, your role will involve ensuring their tenancies are secure and that they possess the skills and resources to manage their living situations effectively.

Your work will be supported by the Depaul model of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, aimed at helping clients understand and act upon their values, strengths, and long-term aspirations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of clients as their designated key worker, while also contributing to the overall well-being and daily support of all clients.
  • Lead risk and needs assessments and support planning for your key clients, while participating in ongoing evaluations for other clients.
  • Develop and implement SMART outcomes-based support plans tailored to your key clients.
  • Facilitate one-on-one and group support sessions within accommodations and the local community to enhance client resilience.
  • Collaborate proactively with various agencies, including statutory teams, to promote the well-being of Depaul clients, adhering to data protection and information-sharing protocols.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • A commitment to working in an assets-based manner.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by individuals who have experienced homelessness, mental health issues, and substance use.
  • Knowledge of risk assessments and support planning.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding protocols and procedures.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity and equality, ensuring all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
  • A dedication to maintaining a safe environment for all.
