Job Summary

NISI is seeking a compassionate and skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily activities, including personal hygiene tasks, mobility, and movement.
  • Monitor patients' conditions by taking vital signs and reporting any concerns to supervising nurses.
  • Assist with feeding patients who require help with eating and drinking.
  • Ensure patients are comfortable and provide emotional support.
  • Help with bedmaking, tidying patient areas, and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Assist nurses with basic clinical tasks, such as wound care, applying dressings, and monitoring patient health.
  • Prepare medical equipment and assist in routine medical procedures.
  • Accurately document patient care activities and observations.
Requirements
  • GCSEs or equivalent; NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or care home setting is advantageous but not always required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under supervision.
