KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of MEAL to execute the MEAL strategy in Ukraine.
  • Enhance the capacity of MEAL personnel through comprehensive training and mentorship.
  • Refine outcome-level assessments and maintain an updated evaluation tracker.
  • Assist in data analysis and visualization efforts.
  • Contribute quality information for donor reporting.
  • Develop MEAL Plans for various awards and oversee the technical implementation of related tasks.
  • Create and manage verification lists for project initiatives.
  • Aggregate and authenticate award data using a national framework.
  • Deliver training and capacity-building sessions for the MEAL team.
  • Establish learning agendas for awards and ensure adherence to accountability measures.
  • Support the MEAL team in executing MEAL Plans for partner organizations.
  • Guide the application of quality benchmarks and conduct reviews within award frameworks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc/ MSc degree in social development or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Ukrainian, Russian, and English.
  • Alignment with Save the Children’s core values.
  • Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability practices.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 5 years in leading MEAL functions.
  • Extensive experience in evidence generation and analytical processes.
  • Experience collaborating with donors across various sectors, including Education, Protection, Nutrition, and Health.
  • Prior experience in supporting local partners with MEAL system development.
  • Proven skills in conducting research, assessments, and evaluations.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and mentor staff effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in challenging work environments.
  • Strong understanding of Save the Children’s mission and commitment to child engagement.
