Key Responsibilities- Interact with customers to address their needs, provide product information, and assist with order status updates.
- Create, send, and follow up on quotations to close sales and build strong relationships with customers.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities through sales enquiries, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
- Prepare and submit bids for tenders on behalf of the organization.
- Manage and facilitate activity from shared sales and customer-focused email accounts.
- Generate sales reports, track sales activity, and analyze data to provide insights on sales performance and trends.
- Prepare regular sales reports for management review to support sales forecasting activities.
- Ensure that the CRM software is up-to-date with current product, price, and customer information.
- Support the organization in organizing conferences, sample campaigns, and other company events.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of sales activities.
- Provide support and assistance to the Field Sales and Marketing Team as required.
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (desirable).
- Relevant work experience in an internal customer/sales support role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Sales skills: Achieves sales goals, initiates new contacts, maintains customer satisfaction, and maintains records.
- Verbal and written communications: Edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively, and varies writing style to meet needs.
- Teamwork: Balances team and individual responsibilities, contributes to building a positive team spirit, and exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views.
- Adaptability: Accepts criticism and feedback, adapts to changes in the work environment, and manages competing demands.
- Initiative: Asks for help when needed, looks for and takes advantage of opportunities, and seeks increased responsibilities.
- Planning and organization: Integrates changes smoothly, plans for additional resources, and prioritizes and plans work activities.
Working knowledge of/fluency in the English language (spoken and written).
Mathematical AbilityAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer SkillsProficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
