Project Controls Analyst

Salary: £33,000- £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) + private medical healthcare, life insurance + additional benefits.

We are looking for a dedicated Project Controls Analyst to oversee and facilitate the financial and administrative dimensions of projects for our esteemed client. The primary responsibilities include crafting and sustaining project timelines, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets, and achieving project milestones. The successful candidate will track project developments, generate progress reports, and manage potential risks to guarantee effective project execution.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to acquire industry experience and hone top-tier consultancy skills. You will collaborate with leading clients on some of the most engaging projects across various sectors, including but not limited to Rail, Utilities, Defence, Nuclear, Aviation, Oil & Gas, and Construction.

This position is based in London with the flexibility to work remotely for 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist in maintaining project timelines, liaise with teams, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, track financial outlays, and conduct cost forecasting.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Assess project progress, prepare detailed status reports, and perform variance analysis.
  • Risk and Quality Management: Identify and track risks, ensure adherence to standards, and implement quality assurance measures.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant construction or engineering discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Project Controls within major construction programs, with a strong desire to expand your expertise in this field.
  • Familiarity with planning and reporting software such as Primavera P6, MS Projects, or Asta Power Projects.
  • Experience in the Project Controls sector, preferably in Rail, Utilities, Aviation, Oil & Gas, Civil Engineering, or construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data to create precise, timely, and informative reports in various formats, identifying root causes and impacts.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional project team and influence stakeholders at all levels.
