Job Overview

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and driven Senior Radiographer to join the Radiology team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our radiography workforce.

The position involves mentoring, educating, and enhancing the skills of our radiographers. You will also provide support to apprentices and students who rotate through our facilities. There are two available positions, one at Maidstone and another at Tunbridge Wells, each offering 22.5 hours per week on a fixed-term contract.

A passion for teaching and a commitment to developing the radiography profession is essential.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to pursue a PG Cert in Education.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the design and implementation of Radiographer induction and probation processes.
  • Ensuring continuous support and development for advanced practitioners, radiographers, apprentices, and students in clinical settings.
  • Maintaining a prominent presence within the radiology team.
  • Collaborating with Workforce Leads and Higher Education Institution staff to guarantee a high-quality environment for radiographers, apprentices, and students.
