About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Program Coordinator to join our team at Ashford College. As a key member of our academic leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the curriculum provision, building relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans to ensure academic excellence and student success
  • Lead and manage a team of teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement assessment strategies and policies
  • Provide academic guidance and support to students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to the development of the college's academic strategy and policies
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience of teaching and managing academic humanities qualifications at Key Stage 5
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and external partners
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
