Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Full time

Position Overview

This role is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for a Senior Clinical Fellow in the Urology department, aimed at providing comprehensive care across multiple healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will possess training in general urology.

This position is particularly suited for individuals who have completed their FRCS (Urol) or possess equivalent qualifications and are post-CCT (or equivalent), focusing on specialized training in robotic urological surgery. The successful candidate will become part of a forward-thinking department that offers exceptional opportunities for clinical and surgical experience, research, and ongoing medical education.

Key Responsibilities

The Urology department is looking to appoint a Fellow specializing in Endourology and benign prostate conditions. The program is designed to deliver a thorough training experience in contemporary stone management techniques. Our center is recognized for its high volume of procedures, including PCNL, emergency ESWL, and ureteroscopy for complex stone management. Training in PCNL access will be provided under the guidance of experienced Endourology Consultants.

Collaboration with our Pediatric Surgical colleagues is integral, allowing us to offer a Pediatric stone service through established multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, there will be opportunities to gain experience in various BPH procedures, such as HoLEP, Aquablation, and MIST procedures, which are well integrated within our department. Regular exposure to surgical theaters and endoscopy sessions will ensure hands-on training is a key component of this fellowship, making it ideal for those aspiring to build a career in urology while honing their Endourology skills.
