About the Role

As an Assistant Service Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Service Manager and having joint responsibility for managing the team and the service. You will be involved in planning rotas, managing staff teams, ensuring compliance within the service, and encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Service Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
  • Plan rotas and manage staff teams to ensure the smooth running of the service.
  • Ensure compliance within the service and maintain high standards of care and support.
  • Encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensure the safety of service users and follow care plans for each individual.
  • Take service users out into the community and participate in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care may be required.
Requirements
  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3.
  • Senior Support Worker experience is essential.
  • Must be resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drivers are essential due to the nature of the role.
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
