At Derwent FM, we're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cleaning Operative. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our properties.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning communal areas, including dusting, wiping, descaling, vacuuming, and mopping. You'll also be required to perform student kitchen checks, end-of-tenancy deep cleans, and assist with moving furniture and soft furnishings. Additionally, you'll be responsible for ensuring safe storage of cleaning materials and adhering to the COSHH register.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly cleaning of communal areas
- Student kitchen checks
- End-of-tenancy deep cleans
- Assisting contractors
- Servicing conference rooms
- Maintaining housekeeping and safety standards
About You
We're looking for someone with experience in a similar environment, who is trained to use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and machinery. Essential skills include good communication, the ability to follow instructions, and a customer-focused attitude. You should be proactive, capable of working independently, and completing tasks to a high standard within agreed timescales.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with an accommodation provider
