About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at one of our 24-hour supported living services in Stanwix, Carlisle. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing positive support to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs, enabling them to participate in community activities and develop their independence and self-esteem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to service users, promoting their physical and emotional well-being
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, addressing specific needs and goals
  • Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary agencies, advocates, and family members to ensure comprehensive support
  • Encourage and motivate service users to participate in a range of activities, promoting social inclusion and community engagement
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity
Requirements
  • Highly motivated and compassionate individual with a positive outlook
  • Ability to engage and motivate individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs
  • Knowledge of supported living care and the challenges faced by service users
  • Flexibility to work a seven-day rota, including morning, afternoon, and sleep-in shifts
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive team environment
