Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Consultant to join our team at PA Consulting. As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients in the Energy and Utilities sector design, develop, and deploy sophisticated and innovative solutions to protect themselves and their critical infrastructures from cyber incidents.

The energy system is undergoing a significant transformation as we transition to Net Zero. This transformation brings both opportunities and challenges, including an increased susceptibility to cyber attacks. Our clients need experts who can help them navigate this complex landscape and ensure the cyber resilience of their critical infrastructures.

As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will work closely with our clients to understand their challenges and develop tailored solutions to address their needs. You will have a deep understanding of the regulatory environment facing our clients, including cyber security and privacy relevant regulations. You will also have experience in selling and leading cyber resilience and transformation projects, as well as applying key cyber security standards and best practices.

We are looking for a trusted and respected leader who can build and run a highly effective team that delivers client outcomes and develops the team and individuals. You will have a strong network across Energy and Utilities leaders and be commercially aware with industry relationships that will enable achievement of revenue in the region of £1.5+ million per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Energy and Utilities clients to structure their thinking and identify key requirements, challenges, opportunities, and aspirations for the organisation
  • Take accountability for the delivery of technical cyber security engagements and lead multiple engagements on a day-to-day basis
  • Lead sales and business development initiatives in the Energy and Utilities sector and act as an integral part of the broader Digital Trust and Cyber Security leadership team
  • Build and manage excellent networks and client relationships across a range of organisations within the Energy and Utilities sector
  • Commercially aware and with industry relationships that will enable achievement of revenue in the region of £1.5+ million per year
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels up to Board level and strong network across Energy and Utilities leaders
  • Trusted and respected leader with the ability to build and run a highly effective team that delivers client outcomes and develops the team and individuals
  • Experience and knowledge of the regulatory environment facing clients; with a particular focus on cyber security and privacy relevant regulations
  • Qualification such as CISSP, CISM, and CIPP/E, GISCP, ISA 62443 (or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience of selling and leading cyber resilience and transformation projects
  • Experience of the application of key cyber security standards and best practices such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, NIS regulations and NIS CAF
