Job Title: Timber Frame Design Specialist

Job Summary:

Vistry Group is seeking a highly skilled Timber Frame Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the preparation, design, and coordination of timber frame designs and Building Information Models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and coordinate timber frame designs and Building Information Models
  • Work with external manufacturers and suppliers to ensure accurate and efficient designs
  • Collaborate with internal production teams to ensure seamless production processes
  • Provide technical assistance to site teams and factory colleagues as needed
  • Develop and implement innovative design solutions to improve product quality and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in Modern Methods of Construction or Offsite Manufacturing/Construction
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Inventor
  • Experience with WoodEngine, Consultec, Horizon, HSBcad, or similar software is an asset
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
