Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing existing production processes, troubleshooting complex technical and chemical process challenges, and contributing to the design, installation, and commissioning of new production processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization: Analyze data, compile debottleneck studies, and drive improvements through to completion.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex technical and chemical process challenges.
  • Design and Installation: Design, install, and commission new production processes and equipment to optimize yield and efficiency.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Contribute to root cause analysis and propose changes and improvements.
  • Scale-up and Scale-down: Set up scale-up and scale-down processes, including updates to process FMEAs and changes to equipment design and configuration.
  • Documentation: Author, review, and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documents.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert and process expert.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO 13485.

Requirements

  • Experience: Circa 8 years' experience in an equivalent role, with time spent in a pharmaceutical or medical device bioprocess environment.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization, with the ability to influence others.
  • Education: MEng/BEng in Chemical Engineering or equivalent in a closely related discipline.

Desirable Qualifications

  • IChemE: Membership of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
  • Lean Six Sigma: Lean Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification.
