At Laing O'Rourke, we recognize the significance of expertise in harnessing the Power Platform. We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Power Platforms.

Are you a knowledgeable Power Platform Consultant? Do you thrive in a Data and Analytics setting? If so, you may be the perfect fit for this role. Our team serves as a center of excellence for Power Platform Solutions, concentrating on Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, while collaborating with both technical and business teams.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring governance, design, and implementation of standards to assist the Power Platform Lead. Specifically, you will:

  • Develop and refine governance frameworks for the Power Platform, encompassing application lifecycle management, development standards, guidelines, deployment protocols, corporate branding, and certification processes.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to expand the Power Platform toolkit to fulfill business needs.
  • Provide design validation for visualizations created by product development teams.
  • Stay informed about Microsoft updates and pinpoint opportunities for business enhancement.

Additionally, you will support the administration of the Platforms, which includes: managing Power BI and Power Platform Admin Portals, overseeing the creation and management of Power BI workspaces and Power Platform environments, and handling On-Premise data gateways, data sources, and premium capacity management.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Profound experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Proven track record in promoting and facilitating the adoption of the Power Platform within a large organization.
  • Extensive experience in developing and supporting Power BI dataflows, datasets, reports, and applications.
  • Proficiency in creating new Power Apps, both model-driven and canvas-driven, utilizing Dataverse as a data source.
  • Expertise in automating business processes using Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with API or REST services integrations.
  • Solid understanding of DAX and SQL.
  • Knowledge of the Azure Platform is advantageous.
  • Experience in agile project environments.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable insights for clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certification and/or a degree in a related field.
