Job Title: Integration Platform Lead Engineer

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a highly skilled Integration Platform Lead Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Integration Platform Team, you will play a pivotal role in leading engagements with project teams, engineering teams, and platform teams to understand integration requirements and provide strategic guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead engagements with project teams, engineering teams, and platform teams to understand integration requirements and provide strategic guidance.
  • Analyse and design integrations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological standards.
  • Work closely with the Integration Platform Owner and offshore integration development team to facilitate seamless collaboration and efficient implementation of integration solutions.
  • Architect, develop, and optimise integration solutions within our platform using Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Apply industry-specific knowledge to design and implement integrations that align with the unique needs and standards of our organisation.
  • Ensure the quality of integration solutions through thorough testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement processes.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in integration engineering roles, demonstrating successful leadership in complex integration projects.
  • Understanding of various Azure services such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, etc.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns such as publish-subscribe, request-reply, message routing, event-driven architecture, etc.
  • Experience with Azure API Management for creating, managing, and securing APIs.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) on Azure, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, or Azure CLI for automating tasks and managing Azure resources programmatically.
