We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Policy Advisor to join our team at NICE – The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. As a key member of our Strategy, Policy and International Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of NICE's strategy and policy positions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of proactive cross-cutting policy positions on behalf of NICE, including leading elements of policy development in collaboration with colleagues across the organization.
- Work with the Associate Director of Strategy to identify relevant policy, political, or strategic changes of relevance to NICE, analyze the impact of those changes, and develop appropriate strategies, policy advice, and responses.
- Provide support to the Associate Director of Strategy and other activities in the Strategy, Policy and International Directorate, as required.
- Master's degree and/or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through practical experience in the development and delivery of strategy and/or policy.
- Experience in a policy and/or strategy development role in government, an arm's length body, or relevant external organization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to draft high-quality technical submissions and briefings.
- Strong ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative working relationships and engage with internal and external colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, often to tight deadlines.
