Join our team as a Quantity Surveyor Apprentice and take the first step in your career in the construction industry. As a Quantity Surveyor Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in managing the cost and commercial aspects of various projects and task orders issued against the service contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage cost and commercial aspects of projects and task orders
  • Use quantity surveying/measure software to produce final accounts for issuing to clients
  • Assist in the production of estimates and meet with clients to resolve queries and agree accounts for invoicing
  • Measure and quantify the quantities of Mechanical and Electrical components needed for projects
  • Obtain quotes and negotiate prices for materials and equipment from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project/minor work forecasts and budgets
  • Monitor costs and expenses during projects, identifying cost-saving opportunities and potential cost overruns
  • Prepare final accounts for mechanical and electrical works, comparing actual costs against estimates and accounting for any variations or changes
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor for M&E contracts (contractor side)
  • Qualified Electrical or Mechanical
  • Experience working on Measured Term Contract (MTC)
  • Experience pricing works and producing quotations and cost breakdowns
  • Qualified Electrical and Mechanical
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and commissioning
  • Flexible approach
  • SSSTS/SMSTS qualification
