Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Architectural Technician to join our team at TH Recruit. As an Assistant Architectural Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and preparing planning layouts on AutoCAD using the standard range of house types in preparation for planning submission
  • Helping to produce supporting documentation for planning applications
  • Assisting with the discharge of planning conditions in a timely manner
  • Overseeing and monitoring air testing, SAP requirements, and PV panel designs
  • Managing the drawing registers and filing systems
  • Distributing architectural information as required, including drawing schedules, to ensure that all Departments and staff members have the drawings they need, when they need them
  • Coordinating and managing Building Regulations applications and subsequent discharge of conditions
  • Assisting with obtaining SAP/EPC assessments
  • Working closely with the Design and Technical Teams, including shadowing more senior members of the Design and Planning Team to gain more experience
  • Attending internal and external meetings

This role would suit an Architectural Technician at the beginning of their career, who are looking to gain more experience in a fast-moving house builder environment. The Company is willing to consider sponsoring the right candidate through college to gain professional qualifications in a day-release type model.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to work under your own initiative, have a willingness to learn, knowledge of building regulations, and planning processes. Some experience of house building would be advantageous but not essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills and proficiency in AutoCAD are required.
