Electrical Services Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Services Technician to join our National team at Rock Compliance Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend customers' pre-start site inductions to receive information on scope of works, site rules, and safety procedures.
  • Conduct pre-start site risk assessments and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Control work on site, including site safety risk assessments, and take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others.
  • Use hazardous substances correctly, including handling, storage, use, disposal, emergency preparedness, and response.
  • Report accidents, incidents, near misses, complaints, and recommended actions.
  • Achieve scheduled works, communicate with the Commissioning Department Head if plans cannot be achieved, and follow customer access and security requirements.
  • Provide services according to training, instruction, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Control and maintain site records.
  • Submit work reports, risk assessments, and work sheets promptly in accordance with agreed SLAs.
  • Submit vehicle mileage, time sheets, expenses, and other required information promptly in accordance with agreed SLAs.
  • Check equipment through pre-use checks and maintenance, and ensure all defects are identified and equipment is prevented from use until repaired or replaced.
  • Report the loss or theft of equipment immediately to the Company and the police if required.
  • Ensure all Rock Compliance equipment, including hire equipment, is removed from site or made secure, and suitable arrangements are made for collection.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within an associated industry.
  • Knowledge to work safely on mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with precautionary techniques and safety equipment.
  • Familiarity with Industry codes of practice.
  • Understanding of inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures for electrical services.
  • Ability to follow reasonable instruction and work on own initiative.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy is a benefit.
  • Work towards Technical skills as defined on Skills Matrix.
  • Knowledge to work safely on electrical systems.
  • A full clean driving license is required.
  • You may be required to travel around your region with occasional overnight stays.
  • A DBS check will be conducted on all new starters due to the nature of some clients.
