About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Manager to join our team at Sainsbury's. As a Food Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets in the food department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets in the food department.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the food department, including stock management, rotas, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve customer satisfaction and sales performance in the food department.
  • Work closely with the Lead Food Manager to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge.
What You'll Need
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering results and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service and sales performance.
  • Knowledge of Sainsbury's policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of the company's vision and values.
