We are seeking an experienced professional to enhance our home-based team, focusing on one of the largest public sector pension schemes in the UK. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of implementation projects within a structured project framework.
The Configuration Team operates within our Implementation Department, which is tasked with delivering top-tier pension administration solutions for both new and existing clients. Our projects vary widely, from significant blue-chip strategic transformations to tailored client-specific solutions. Collaboration with various stakeholders is essential, as our activities and expertise are diverse.
You will play a crucial role in supporting Project Managers and Implementation Consultants by efficiently delivering project tasks and providing mentorship to Implementation Analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze calculation requirements thoroughly.
- Conduct system configuration, data analysis, and testing.
- Manage data uploads and downloads effectively.
- Engage in client meetings and project status discussions.
- Coordinate with clients, third parties, and internal departments.
- Contribute to the technical advancement of our technology platforms through involvement in new or enhanced developments.
- Assist the line manager in the effective oversight of team members under your guidance.
- Support the creation of requirements documentation.
- Facilitate internal and external system training as needed.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive experience across the project lifecycle, with the ability to articulate key project elements such as initiation, governance, control, and closure, along with examples of your active involvement in these stages.
- Proficient in drafting automated Excel calculators with fundamental formulas.
- Skilled in data manipulation with a strong emphasis on accuracy, capable of explaining:
• Pension member records and their configurations.
• The relationships among members, Trustees, schemes, actuaries, funds, and investments.
• Various types of Pension Schemes.
• Different member statuses and the relevant calculations for each.
- Adept at drafting and interpreting calculation proformas to create scenario matrices that encompass all pertinent scenarios.
- Capable of drafting and reviewing test plans to detail expected outcomes and system updates.
