Position Overview:
Daytime Healthcare Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent National Children's Residential Organization seeking dedicated Youth Justice Support Workers.

Employment Type:
We offer both full-time and part-time positions, available for day or night shifts on a permanent basis. Overtime and holiday work are compensated at time and a half.

Compensation:
The starting salary for this role is £27,352 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Youth Justice Support Worker, your primary duties will include:
1. Providing direct assistance and care to young individuals aged 16 to 17 years.
2. Ensuring the safety of young people through effective collaboration with external agencies and emergency services, adhering to local authority safeguarding protocols.
3. Working closely with local authorities to mitigate young people's offending behaviors and aiding them in fulfilling their court mandates.
4. Maintaining a trauma-informed atmosphere within the residential setting at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant qualification in Social Work, Probation, Youth Justice, or Youth Work.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with at-risk youth.
- A comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by young individuals.
- The ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A thorough understanding of the barriers faced by non-white youth within the criminal justice system.
