About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Advisor to join our Logistics team at Poundland. As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in providing expert HR support to our distribution teams, helping to improve performance, manage employee relations, and ensure compliance with our policies and best practices.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations, with a minimum of three years of relevant HR experience. They will be able to provide expert advice on employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, and absence management.

The HR Advisor will also be responsible for leading and supporting change management processes, including TUPE transfers, consultations, and redundancy procedures. They will work closely with leadership to coach and mentor management teams, enhancing their capabilities.

In addition, the HR Advisor will manage the recruitment process for hourly-paid colleagues, from interviews to onboarding and payroll coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HR support to distribution teams

Requirements
  • CIPD qualified or working towards an equivalent qualification
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
  • Minimum of three years of relevant HR experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to influence and build relationships
  • Proven organisational skills and ability to manage high-volume workloads
