About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Domestic Team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust as a Domestic Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality cleaning and support service to our hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily cleaning duties as instructed by the Domestic Supervisor, including general cleaning of wards, clinical and non-clinical departments, offices, and public areas.
  • Assist in infection control deep cleans as directed by the Domestic Supervisor or Facilities Support Services Manager.
  • Ensure the use of barrier nursing and infection-related PPE in line with displayed signs on patient doors.
  • Use cleaning materials in accordance with mandated facilities processes.

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing situations.

Please note that this role requires a standard DBS check, which will be conducted at the Trust's expense. You will also be required to join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee.
